Swinging up and down
Back and forth they bounce
Hypnotized I lose myself
And wonder where I am.
The cold is in the air
The dark is in the night
The evil rests inside
And hopefully the light.
The moon it silhouettes
My eyes transfixed I watch
Gazing at the hand of God
His work so fearful now.
Yes, we lie down both with the dark evil and the light brought by God’s hand. It is we who must direct our gaze towards the “hand of God”, as you say so concisely and starkly here.
If looking at His creation can be so transforming then looking at Him might be blinding.
Very powerful…especially those last lines…
To see what He has made can be… life-changing.
