belief, a cruel whipped master
changes everything;
life has this meaning
dining on the old one’s bones
seeing through this lense
nothing comes so naked
the world dies slowly
waiting for it’s time to birth
and so we see what’s shown.

Clarification through dying to the self is one thing I immediately thought of after reading this very dense, compact poem. The “whipped master” phrase lead me to think of Jesus the Christ’s suffering before His crucifixion, for some reason. I, too, have experienced much clarification in life through physical injuries and overcoming the restrictions resulting from those painful injuries. Thank you for the stimulation of this poem here.
