Superstition

Knocking on the old oak tree
The bark and mass eats all the sound
And knock too hard and you will find
Bruises all around.

  1. Reblogged this on nicoleandgwendolyn.com and commented:
The old oak tree is the leg of a malnourished person (anorectic, bulimic, binge eater, or otherwise). Superstition is simply awareness that she’s killing herself. Superstition, to the eating disordered person, is Real. There is no such thing as superstition. No forecasting. Only reality. There are, indeed, “bruises all around.” Where are your bruises?

What are you thinking?
