Maybe

I imagine things sometimes
But live so very little now
Even when I do my head
Is lost somewhere up there.

Maybe now is just the time
To find a way to live it here
And not live only in past or clouds
And let love enter in.

  1. A thought:
whenever i re-read this work I paused on:
“Even when I do my head
    Is lost somewhere up there.”
but then thought how apt since head is lost, for it to be missing/disconnected from the line that mentions it being lost and it to be literally “up there” in the line above…
=)) i don’t even know if it’s intentional or not, but just thought i’d say it.

    1. One of the things I find intriguing about poetry is that it tells you about yourself. Sure you do all sorts of things “intentionally” when you write, but when you read it later it tells you something about yourself. Whether you did something “on purpose” or not the poem still came from inside of you… your intentions are only one small part of the work.

What are you thinking?
