I often thought
You were sorry
that
you made
me.
I see that you can be
sorry
for such things
And I wonder
what that even means
coming from You…
Not much has changed
and I wonder why
You agreed
to not flood this place again.
But I see rainbows
and know You are merciful.
I pray that I would learn to be as well.
Yes, we must pray to become as merciful as God when He forgave mankind and gave the rainbow of promise to Noah and his family.
Very true.
Ah – a sentiment I can fully echo. There’s great honesty here.
I like how these pieces with scripture reference titles (but no verses) portray the Bible as a conversation.
You know I’ve found it is still difficult to be honest about things that matter even in verse without my name attached to it. I still find myself wanting to leave things out, or not swear, or not talk about this or that… it can be very difficult to say what is on your heart.
