A flower blooming in the heat
The desert scorching all with sand
And wind and bitter dryness here
Moves across a barren land.
And all about is tan and red
But then the pedals singing out
Purple with a golden heart
Amidst a sea of drab and dead.
It’s hard to think that it could live
In conditions such as this
So beautiful it must be seen
When all else seems so dead.
This is really beautiful. I don’t comment a lot but I really enjoy reading all your poems and I love how you manage to capture specific emotions and moments.
I am so glad you took the time to comment. It is (of course) great to have you. I’m glad you enjoy my poems and I hope that you will keep reading even if you don’t like every single one. 😉
New blog for me, I have miss visiting your site and reading your words! May your new year be spiritually prosperous and abundantly blessed!
Thank you sir. May the year be as such for you as well.
Beautiful!
Thank you.
