Making Space

Perhaps I have been
Standing in the way
of a waiting peace
and a building joy
and perhaps,
I should take one step just to the side.

I think some of you will know what I mean.

Why So Downcast?

To rejoice
I call on my heart
a call to action
and contemplation
and rest
that my words be not hollow.

And We All Die

But I remember
And some of those I was with
are now dead
and the life I now have
is something else.

Let it be so
And let it be remembered
