Things People Say

VBA

Francois Bergh has nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award (VBA).   Thank you Mr. Bergh.  I really appreciate your writing and flattered that you would think of me.  Cheers.

In Fairness I must say that Mr. Bergh was not the first to nominate. I believe the first was iamjoe (iamjoe.wordpress.com/) and the second was jahasmoments (http://jhasmoments.wordpress.com/). A hearty thank you to the two of you. I pray that you would receive success in your endeavors. This would actually make Francois Bergh the third. I have heard that the third time’s the charm. Apparently sometimes that is the case.

In order to comply with the terms of acceptance I must nominate some other bloggers.  I recommend you check out their blogs if you haven’t already. Now these are not blogs I “recommend” simply to uphold my end of the bargain. These are blogs I actually read myself on a regular basis and benefit from. I have made no attempt to avoid nominating people who have already been nominated and would be a little surprised if anyone accepted the award twice. I make no assurances about any of them being “safe for children” (or for you, for that matter). I do not pretend to share the same philosophies, religion, or temperament as any of these bloggers (though I may in some cases). I won’t even tell you what it is I like about any of them. I’ll let you guess. Happy reading.

  1. Thank you my dear one for nominating me–since I already posted one acceptance speech for this award, I’ll take a pass. I could have sworn I’d nominated you as well, but I must have missed you on my list–or maybe I nominated you for the Liebster. This awards stuff has gone from moving me to tears (& anxiety) to pleased amusement.

Congratulations to you–I’m so pleased for you to accept this award, for it is well earned and deserved. Continued best wishes to you professionally, and personally.

I do thank you for your praise, kindness and generosity. Daily you are in my Eventide Prayers. God Bless You. Love, Caddo

    1. You probably did– I can’t keep all the comments strait– but I had to do the nominations, so I decided to pic ones I liked. I gave no thought to wether or not they had already received them before. Fifteen is kind of a lot. I would never expect someone to do all that twice. I’m actually kind of exhausted after all the requirements. Cheers.

      1. Yes! I agree it’s exhausting (laughing). I just re-read all you wrote in your “acceptance speech”, and was moved again. I felt I got more of a sense of who you are, than I’d had by just reading your poetry–so that was nice. And silly though it must be, I was a bit envious of how you put things–as though I’d fallen short. I’ve recently been checking out blogs I was previously unfamiliar with, and finding more good stuff–the folks I like usually know more folks I will like!! (This takes time, of course–and some 24-hour days seem to be missing a few hours…) And I also appreciated the Pilcrow note–as you know, I seem to frequently get the “redecorating bug”. Well, I’m babbling on, and have goodies to deliver–but I just wanted to stop by & say hello–you’re wonderful, and I feel a tenuous bond. And your last post “IF”–is just beyond perfect words to describe! See you soon–God bless you richly today!

  2. we are absolutely, positively, utterly shocked and flattered.
gwendolyn is cocking her head rapidly in surprised delight. in fact, i am, too.
cannot wait to reciprocate and to devour the blogs that you’ve recommended.
    merci beaucoup, monsieur. 🙂 x
