There is a view
in a certain place
That puts my soul
at ease.
It isn’t striking
And isn’t sharp
But there is plenty of green
And the soul needs green
And the soul needs shelter–
A harbour,
A fortress,
a place to hide away
Let my soul hide itself
Let it learn to trust
Flee no more
The hills you see are where you look is where
your help
comes
from.
I like this one, especially those last 4 lines!
Peaceful poem. I really love all of the poetry on your blog – it really feels that it comes from somewhere deep inside; it’s like poetry written during meditation. Looking forward to reading more!
Meditation is good for the soul… and good for writing.
“I look to the hills, from whence cometh my help”. Very expert verse writing here, soulwalker, to direct our eyes, our hearts, and our souls to “look” in the right direction. No more fleeing, only trust and obey. So very correct you are!
It’s funny how soon help comes after you give up sometimes…
